Linda Davis, MD: Hello, and I'm really hoping that you can join me for my upcoming session on "Empowering the Patient: Shared Clinical Decision Making and Advocating for the Patient." I'm Dr Linda Davis. I'm a family medicine physician with Colvita Family Medical Group in Mission Viejo, California. Just to give you a quick insight of what this session will contain, we will define what is shared clinical decision making and how do we use it in our role with our patient and their health care. We'll apply this methodology to case studies to really model how we as clinicians can engage our patients in this process of medical decision making.
We will also provide you with some tools so we can streamline this process for both ourselves as well as the patients and really include that evidence-based resources for our patients. We will also discuss patient advocacy and how patient advocates, including us as their clinicians and the patients themselves, can work as a team to really empower these patients.
So once again, I hope you can join me on my session, "Empowering the Patient: Shared Clinical Decision Making and Advocating for the Patient." Thank you.
