Roger Fowler, MD, FAAFP:
Hello, all. My name is Roger Fowler. I'm a family medicine physician.
I've practiced family medicine for more than 40 years and ended my career as a physician leader in population health and in leadership of accountable care organizations and clinically integrated networks. In this time, I learned a lot about our payment system, and most recently, about the transition that we're making to value-based care and beyond in health care in America.
Hopefully, this presentation has helped you to understand where we've come from and why we are where we are with an explanation for where we're headed in the future. And the major plea is that you as physicians embrace and help to lead this transition from fee-for-service to pay-for-value and as a result, the patient getting the highest quality care that is available to them to optimize their health.
And so hopefully that is what you have derived from the time we have spent together. Thank you very much.
