Regularly ask your staff what suggestions that they may have to reduce overhead costs. You will be amazed at their suggestions especially if you reward them for recommendations that are implemented and do result in cost savings. The reward can be financial remuneration, time-off, or a gift certificate.
Bottom line: You want to motivate your staff to not only earn more money for the practice but to reduce expenses as well. Your staff can be a great resource for you. All you have to do is ask…then reward!
